PERTS
(Personal Electric Rapid Transit Systems) is one of the two divisions
under
Virtual Corporation at Virginia Tech. PERTS is a students managed
corporate enterprise lead by Dr. Krishnan Ramu (Professor at Bradley
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering). Our aim is to
provide students an opportunity to gain hand-on experience by working in
a corporate-like learning environment. In PERTS, students work in small
design teams that focus on specific areas in the project. Students are
given deadlines for their tasks and give presentations about their
designs that are similar to Real-world Corporation. Nevertheless,
students enrolled in PERTS are eligible to receive credits toward their
academic program and are given with class syllabus.
